Blocktober Update
Blocktober has been a dearly loved community event for nearly 2 decades! We have loved seeing it grow into
a night of neighborly fun and games. But as similar harvest festivals have begun popping up in the area to meet
a similar need of fun and fellowship, we realize it may be time to shift our focus. Rather than pour volunteer hours, funds, and other resources into a singular night, we hope to host multiple events throughout the year that aim to meet specific wants and needs of the surrounding community we as a church love so dearly. So what’s next?
Well, we are having a block party and everyone is invited!
In August we hosted the first of these new events- our Back-to-school Block Party! Local barbers and hairstylists offered free and fresh new haircuts while kids made crafts and parents went shopping in our completely free school supply store.
In November we’ll be hosting a Marker’s Market and open Mic Night Block Party! Come do a little early Christmas Shopping from local crafters, play games with the family and stay for our free dinner and listen to new friends (maybe even you!) share their talents on stage!
